David L. Schiavo

David (Dave) L. Schiavo, age 74 of McKeesport, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025 in UPMC East. Born October 10, 1950 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Salvatore and Sarah E. (Gault) Schiavo. A truck or bus driver by trade, David enjoyed everything car-related, including his favorite sport of NASCAR. A tour bus driver with DeBolt Bus Company for 13 years, David was the teller of “this one bus trip I had…”stories, odd bits of trivia knowledge and appreciated listening to his favorite band, Pink Floyd. He will be most remembered as a devoted husband, father, and "Pap-Pap" who loved his whole family. He is survived by his wife Donna (Novacek) Schiavo; his daughter Hilary (Kristofer) Happe of Baldwin; his grandsons Lucas and Colin; his sisters Marie (Tom) Rose of South Park, Joanne (Harold) Fetch of McKeesport, and Barb (Mike) Duffy of McKeesport; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jim (Delma) Novacek ofWindsor, PA, and also 11 nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister Sally E. (Paul) Gooch and his brother Salvatore L. (Teresa) Schiavo.  Funeral arrangements for David are private at the request of the family and in the care of the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles
