Daniel Forkovitch, age 82 of Delmont, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at William Penn Care Center, Jeanette. Born November 7, 1943 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Rube and Betty (Wukoson) Forkovitch. A proud US Army Veteran, Daniel was truly one of a kind. He possessed a great sense of humor that brought light to those around him and made every gathering more memorable. He was a retired roofer from the Local 37 where he spent many years dedicated to his trade. Outside of work, he loved the excitement of trips to the casino, the peace of camping and fishing in the outdoors, and, above all, going out to meals with his family. Daniel was preceded in death by his beloved wife Geraldine (Megahan) Forkovitch and his great-granddaughter Kendall Beers. He is survived by his loving children Kimberly (Danny) Tamburro of North Versailles, Karen Forkovitch-Homick of Irwin, and Daniel Forkovitch, Jr. of Gibbon Glade; his grandchildren Megan (David, Jr.) Beers, Mason and Lawren Forkovitch, Abigail Homick, Daniel Tamburro, Jr., and Nathan Forkovitch; his great-grandchildren Danielle, Maura, Lily, and David III; his sister Carol McKinney; and also nieces and nephews. Daniel’s family wishes to thank the caregivers who provided him with compassionate support and care. Funeral visitation with military honors were held privately at the request of the family and were in the care of the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles.
