Carolyn Helen Pausic, 90, of Elizabeth Township, PA died on June 23, 2024. She was born in McKeesport on October 22, 1933, the youngest daughter of George and Theresa Siket. She grew up attending St. Mary’s Romanian Byzantine Catholic Church in Christy Park; her mother was one of the founding members. She is predeceased by her devoted husband Matt, sisters Marie Balog, Elvera Irvine, Florence Ballner and Virginia Siket and beloved pets. She is survived by her daughters Tia Pausic and Beth Pausic, cat Andy and numerous nieces and nephews. Carolyn took pride in voting in every election and volunteering for several organizations including Sacred Heart Croatian Catholic Church in McKeesport where she taught Sunday school, the McKeesport YWCA where she was also President of its Garden club, the Elizabeth Forward PTA, and Sisters of the Divine Redeemer Motherhouse in Elizabeth. She greatly enjoyed trips to the Laurel Highlands, watching Jeopardy, feeding the wild birds and “greenhousing” in the spring when she loved finding unusual plants. Her daughters inherited her green thumb. Carolyn was a voracious reader and read to her girls when they were children. They are grateful she was part of their lives for such a long time. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to White Oak Animal Safe Haven. A memorial Mass will be held in the fall. Arrangements made by the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory
