Carl M. Pastore

Carl M. Pastore, age 86 of Elizabeth Twp., passed away at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, October 25, 2023.  Born February 14, 1937 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Daniel and Rose (Gentile) Pastore.  A graduate of the former California State Teachers college and US Army Veteran, Carl retired as a technician for the Clairton Municipal Authority.  He was a member of the Turkeyfoot Fish and Game Club in Confluence and was also an avid golfer, great jokester, and was known as The Family Groundskeeper.  Carl is survived by his wife Patty (Baker) Pastore; his children Kristy Pastore of Elizabeth Twp., Carl (Kathy) Pastore of San Carlos, CA, Mitchell Pastore of Raleigh, NC, and Derek (Penny) Pastore of Newport News, VA; his grandchildren Alyssa, Jennifer, Matthew, Nicholas, and his Special Light Emmett; his great-grandchildren Ava and Evan; his sister Madeline (Joe) Nestico of Clairton and Richard (the late Jackie) Pastore of South Park; and also many nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Gregory Pastore and his siblings: Anthony, Dominic, Daniel, and Ruth Pastore.  Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles, on Monday, October 30, 2023 from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM.  A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at 11 AM with procession and burial to follow to Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
