Barbara M. (Biro) Sheedy

Barbara M. Sheedy, age 92 of Versailles, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in Riverside Nursing Center, McKeesport.  Born January 26, 1928 in Versailles, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Takash) Biro.  A member of the Free Hungarian Reform Church of McKeesport and the Versailles AARP, besides her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, the late James J. Sheedy who passed away January 9, 2005; her brothers Alex, Andrew, Joseph, and George Biro; and her sisters Ethel Simon, Mary Kosareck, Sue Jacob, Elizabeth Tolone, and Kay Starry.  She is survived by her sons James A. (Linda) Sheedy of Versailles and with whom she resided for ten years and David B. (Michelle) Sheedy of North Huntingdon; her grandchildren Jake, Jared, David, Elliot, Aaron, and Caroline; her great-grandchildren Alexandra and Julian; and many nieces and nephews.  There is no visitation scheduled for Barbara.  A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 11 AM in the Free Hungarian Reform Church in McKeesport with Rev. Dr. Daniel Borsay officiating.  Interment will be private at Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills.  Arrangements by the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles.
