Barbara L. (Uhrin) Lape

Barbara L. (Uhrin) Lape, age 68, of Port Vue passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Jefferson Hospital. Born November 9, 1952 in Akron, OH, she was a daughter of the late Albert G. and Joan M. (Mima) Uhrin. She was a retired registered nurse who worked for 44 years at Jefferson Hospital. Barbara is survived by her children Jeffrey (Jill) Lape of McKeesport, Shelley (Ryan) Nolte of Elizabeth Township and, Jesse (Elizabeth) Lape of Liberty Boro; grandchildren Maxson and Lucas Lape, Domenick and Nash Nolte and, Thomas Lape; sisters Kathy (Tom) Van Horn of Port Vue and Joan Kohler of Irwin; nieces and nephews and great niece and great nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Thomas Uhrin. Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home & Crematory, McKeesport on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM. In order to comply with Covid-19 restrictions, guests are required to wear masks and follow CDC social distancing guidelines. You may be asked to limit your visiting time so that all guests will have an opportunity to pay their respects. The family would like to express their understanding to those who are unable to attend due to the Covid-19 pandemic. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 9:30 AM at St. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Eugene Church worship site with Rev. Thomas A. Wagner officiating. Private burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Port Vue.
