Alvin B. King, age 83 of Jefferson Hills and formerly of Clairton, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025. Born October 22, 1941 in Pittsburgh and raised in North Braddock, he was a son of the late Alvin M. King and Mae D. (Rosenberger) Scott. A retiree from GM's Fisher Body Plant in West Mifflin, Alvin was a Veteran of the US Army and a member of Pine Run United Methodist Church. His family will remember him as a simple man and a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who loved to spend quality time with his family, especially trips out for breakfast. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Dorothy Jean (Svacs) King, who passed away on May 12, 2020; his son Richard J. Raposky, who passed away March 11, 2023; his grandson Jason Michael Graham, who passed away February 2, 2016; and his brother Bill King. Alvin is survived by his daughters Deborah (Mark) Graham of West Mifflin and Lynnette (Ray) Zajac of Pleasant Hills; his grandchildren Nicole (Scott) Karel, Kari Zajac, Amanda (John) Vojtko, Rachel (Adam) Zajac, Abby (Matt) Zajac, Kevin Massaro, and Brittney, Alyssa, Brandon, Ryan, Aiden, Mason, and Jacelyn Graham; his great-grandchildren Savannah, Shawn "Junior," E.J., Mia, Riley, Hailey, Logan, Gabby, and Nathan; and also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton, on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 10 AM with Rev. Jude Urso officiating. Procession and burial with military honors will follow to Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Alvin's name should be made to Pine Run United Methodist Church, 901 N. 6th. St., Clairton, PA 15025.
