Alice J. (Felicetty) Cochenour

Alice J. Cochenour, age 89 of North Huntingdon and formerly of Clairton, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 in The Grove at Irwin.  Born August 21, 1930 in Clairton, she was a daughter and one of fourteen children of the late William and Bella (Gasser) Felicetty.  A former staffer with Drs. Herzog and Gioia, Alice was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Clairton and the Clairton Football Mothers.  She was also a Democratic Party committeewoman in Clairton and a former member of the Ladies Guild of St. Clare Church.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas E. Cochenour, Sr.; who passed away September 22, 1996, her children Thomas E. Cochenour, Jr. and Kathy Eastman; grandchildren Stephanie and Benjamin Szilvasi; great-granddaughter Kelliann Geyser; and eleven of her fourteen siblings.  Alice is survived by her daughter Nancy Szilvasi of Beckley, WV; her son Charles Cochenour of Jefferson Hills, twelve grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; her sisters Carol (Ed) Thornton of Elizabeth and Mary Helen (Frank) Truszkowski of Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles, on Saturday, June 6, 2020 from 10 AM until a 12 Noon Blessing in the funeral home with Fr. Fortunatus Mugisha officiating.  VISITORS ARE ASKED TO PLEASE BRING AND WEAR A MASK.  Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.  Memorial contributions in Alice's name should be made to Monarch Hospice, 2837 Leechburg Rd., New Kensington, PA 15068.
