Ruth Ann (Satterfield) Werner

Ruth Ann Werner, age 83, of Forward Twp., passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at home. She was a member of the Bethesda United Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth and the Elizabeth Senior Citizens. She was a former member of the Forward Township Senior Citizens, Axelton Senior Citizens, Elizabeth Heritage Senior Citizens and the Blaine Hill Senior Citizens. She mostly enjoyed her weekly bingo trips with friends and she loved to play cards with her family. Born August 18, 1934 in Elizabeth, she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Bessie (Thompson) Satterfield and wife of the late Frederick J. Werner. She is survived by daughters, Lezlie Sarver of Monongahela, Laurie Mesaros and Lyda Barr, both at home; grandchildren, Jillian and Daniel Sarver, Zachary, Kayla and Jacob Barr; great-grandchildren, Rylee Fresh and Emery Fathbruckner; brother, Ronald Satterfield of Elizabeth; also nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lyda Poling and brothers, Clyde, Robert and Donald Satterfield. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 12 Noon in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Paul Edwards officiating. Interment is private.
