Ronald C. Zubasic

Ronald C. Zubasic, age 57, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018 at Excela Health Frick Hospital from injuries sustained in an accident. He was the owner of Ronald Zubasic Home Improvements in Elizabeth Twp. He enjoyed every aspect of the outdoors including camping, boating and sharing time with those he loved. His favorite entertainment was listening to the band The Real Deal. He was known to many as "the Bird Man" because of his pet parrots that accompanied him to many public events. Ron’s greatest assets were his kindness and generosity. He loved his dog and best friend, Buddy, who passed away with him. Born May 11, 1961 in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late George C. and Evelyn L. (Nellis) Zubasic. He is survived by his wife with whom he had a loving relationship of 27 years, Shari L. (Bartifay) Zubasic; daughter, Nicole (Wesley) Wiggins of Florida; son, Jesse (Kayla) Zubasic of McKeesport; stepson, Chad Bailey of McKeesport; grandchildren, Aiden, Peyton and Bryson; siblings, Lydia Foster of Pittsburgh, George W. (Susan) Zubasic of South Park, Sharon (Larry) Briggs of Carroll Twp. and Patty (Don) Bick of Finleyville; his aunt and godmother, Grace Patricia Winovich of Bethel Park; an uncle with whom he was very close and loved dearly, Ronald W. Zubasic of South Park; and cousins; also, nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering will take place on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth, from 5 until the time of a memorial service at 6:30 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Wayne Johnson officiating.
