Regina Marie (Stragand) Maizer

Regina Marie (Stragand) Maizer, age 73, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Jefferson Hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael Parish in Elizabeth Twp. She graduated from Divine Redeemer Academy in Elizabeth Twp. Born January 25, 1944 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late John and Regina McElhatten Stragand. She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Maizer Sr.; children, Barbara (Robert) Oprosky of Elizabeth Twp., Renee (Joe) Biehl of Elizabeth Twp., and Robert  L. (Hope) Maizer Jr. of Pleasant Hills; eight grandchildren, Casie, Sara, Richard, Morgan, Hayley, Ian, Ava, and Riley; great-granddaughter, Melody; siblings, John Stragand of Elizabeth, Beverly Gregory of Florida, Paul Stragand of Forward Twp., and Patricia Stragand of Elizabeth Twp.; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Teresa Stragand. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Thursday, February 9, 2017  from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 10 AM in St. Michael Parish with Rev. Thomas A. Wagner officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
