P. Jeff "Heffy" Julian

On September 20, 2018, we lost a great family member and friend: P. Jeff "Heffy" Julian, age 61 of Clairton.  Jeff was always there to put a smile on your face and lend a helping hand to whoever needed it.  Jeff was a member of the Sons of Columbus, the International Union of Operating Engineers Local L0095, and also worked for the University of Pittsburgh for fifteen years and also formerly Clairton High School.  Born April 22, 1957, he was a son of the late James F. and Phyllis C. (Criswell) Julian.  Jeff is survived by his brothers James (Claudia,) Dean (Lisa,) Dan (Mary,) and Terry (Denise) Julian; his sister, with who he resided, Stephanie Julian Veres; his nieces and nephews: James, Dean II, David, Corey, T.L., Jeremy, Chris, Brandon, Anthony, Dylon, Zacharia, Alex, Brody, Dean III, Danielle, Anne, Hope (who gave him the nickname "Unkey,") Hannah, Mary Katherine,  Miliana, Julie, and Kristie.  Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law John "Bo" Veres and niece Penni Veres Janetka.  Friends will be received in the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton, on Monday, September 24, 2018 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to a 7:30 PM Funeral Service with Rev. Paul Edwards officiating.  Interment will be private at the request of the family.  Memorial contributions in Jeff's name should be made to the American Heart Association, 444 Liberty Ave., #1300, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
