Mary Elizabeth (Morris) Hoey

Mary Elizabeth (Morris) Hoey, age 95, of Forward Twp., passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019  at Mt. Vernon of Elizabeth. She was a secretary for the former Donald Thompson Insurance Agency in Elizabeth and Clairton. A member of the former First Presbyterian Church in Clairton, she was a member of the Elizabeth Senior Citizens and enjoyed playing bingo. Born September 23, 1923 in Washington, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Jane (Spriggs) Morris and wife of the late Charles Edward Hoey. She is survived by daughter, Cathy (Terry) Schreiber of Forward Twp.; sons, Charles Hoey of Forward Twp. and David (Marlene) Hoey of Sutersville; grandchildren, Lisa, Jennifer (Tim) and Michael (Jess); great-grandchildren, Brandon, Amber, Emily, Ethan, Mackenzie and Zachary; also, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Howard (Fats) Morris, Cecil Morris, LeRoy Morris and Albert Morris. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Friday, June 7, 2019 from 2-4 and 6 until the time of service at 8 PM with the Rev. R. Paul Walter officiating.
