Marjorie A. (Fairbaugh) Banks Sopko

Marjorie Ann Banks Sopko, age 91 of Port Vue, died August 16, 2018. Born October 2, 1926 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Fairbaugh and Elizabeth Kasmarik Fairbaugh Keenan.  She was also predeceased by her daughter Geraldine Filson, brother Joseph Fairbaugh, and her husbands William Banks and Phillip Sopko.  Marjjorie was a member of St. Patrick's Church, North Versailles Seniors, and loved to play bingo and cards. She is survived by her children: William (LaVerne) Banks, Thomas Banks, Lawrence Banks, and Barbara Zapf; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister Barbara Norman; and also nieces and nephews and cousins.  Friends will be received at the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles Boro on Monday 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 Noon at St. Michael's Parish, Elizabeth Township with Fr. Thomas Wagner officiating.  Interment will be private at the request of the family.
