Marie C. (Calabro) Stefan

Marie C. Stefan, age 76 of Jefferson Hills, passed away at home on Tuesday, October 2, 2018.  Born March 26, 1942 and raised in Clairton, she was a daughter of the late Santo and Florence (Palumbo) Calabro.  A former office manager at Kids Plus Southwestern Pediatric in Jefferson Hills, Marie is survived by her husband of almost fifty years James M. Stefan; her children Arthur (Jean) Stefan, Scott (Alissa) Stefan, and Jill (Karen) Stefan Pazo; her grandchildren Nicole (Donald) Holtz, Trevor (Erin) Stefan, Vincent A. Stefan, Michaela Stefan, and Alyssa (Dale) Morgele; her great-grandchildren Avery Pearl and Allyson Rose Holtz, Alora Faye Morgele, and Anthony James DeArmitt; her brother David (Mary) Calabro; and also nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Anthony Calabro.  Friends will be received in the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton, on Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 1 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 10 AM in St. Thomas a Becket Church in Jefferson Hills with Fr. Daniel Maurer officiating.  Procession and burial will follow to Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Marie's name should be made to either Gateway Hospice, 9380 McKnight Rd., Unit 201, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 or the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, PO Box 11561, Pittsburgh, PA 15238.
