Margaret E. (Kibe) Hood

Margaret E. (Kibe) Hood, age 105, of Pleasant Hills and formerly of West Elizabeth, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Jefferson Hospital. She enjoyed gardening and her word search puzzles. Born August 23, 1912 in Derry, she was a daughter of the late Walter C. and Rose (Gindlesperger) Kibe and wife of the late Leroy L. Hood. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra (David) Todd of Pleasant Hills; six grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren; also survived by nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, June Marnell and Zona Jean Shaffer; and a granddaughter. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 2-7 PM. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jude Urso officiating.
