Kenneth Edward Kaczka, age 71 of Liberty Borough, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 in the VA Hospital Healthcare System - University Drive Campus, Pittsburgh. Born May 10, 1948 in Braddock, he was a son of the late Joseph E. and Irene A. (Kollar) Kaczka. A parishioner of St. Mark's Parish in Liberty Borough and a union member of the IBEW Local #1919, Kenneth was a decorated veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving with valor and distinction in combat in the Vietnam War and earning the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was also a member of the Liberty Veterans Association. Kenneth is survived by his siblings Joseph A. (Karen) Kaczka of Avon Lake, OH, Donald (Judy) Kaczka of Liberty Borough, Kathy Kaczka of Penn Hills, Larry (Linda) Kaczka of South Park, and Mary Ann Perkins of Hidden Valley; and his nieces and nephews: Michael, Jacob, Levi, Nicholas, and Patrick Kaczka, Hannah Camic, Marena Wood, and Chelsea Perkins. Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles, on Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 9 AM until a 12 Noon Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mark's Parish - Liberty Site with Fr. Thomas A. Wagner officiating. Committal with military honors will be at a later date.
