Josephine (Crimaldi) Brown

Josephine Brown, age 101 of Clairton, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018 in LGAR Nursing and Rehab Center in Turtle Creek.  Born December 16, 1916 in St. Louis, MO, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Frances (Sole) Crimaldi.  A member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish and the former St. Paulinas in Clairton, Josephine was a member of the AARP Wilson #1612, Sons of Columbus Regina Della Valle #40 of Clairton, a member and director of the Wilson Civic Association, a member of the Women's Guild of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, the Ladies Auxillary of the American Legion Daniel Keffer Post #75 of Clairton, and the Golden Agers of West Mifflin.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Brown, who passed away in 1995, and a granddaughter, Colleen Perry.  Josephine is survived by her children Cindy (Carl) Rothenberger of Churchill, John (Sharyn) Brown of Bethel Park, and David (Andrea) Brown of Yorba Linda, CA; her eight grandchildren Ernie, John, Jr., Michael, Chris, Allen, Josh, Scott, and Rebecca; her nine great-grandchildren; and also nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received in the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 3 to 7 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 10 AM in St. Clare of Assisi Parish.  Procession and burial will follow to St. Clare Cemetery, Clairton.  Memorial contributions in Josephine's name should be made to LGAR, 800 Elsie St., Turtle Creek, PA 15145.
