Joseph DiMeo

Joseph DiMeo, age 80 of Elizabeth Twp., passed away at home on Friday, July 26, 2019.  Born September 5, 1938 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Adam and Catherine (Filotei) DiMeo.  A retired supervisor for Equitable Gas who also drove school buses for Elizabeth Forward School District, Joseph was a veteran of the US Army, serving in Germany, and an F. & A. M. Mason, Lodge #765, of the 32nd. Degree.  He is survived by his daughter Deanna (Thomas) Nicholson of McKeesport; his grandchildren Joseph and Daniel Nicholson; his great-grandson Noah; his step-grandchildren Samantha and Thomas, II; his sisters Mary Petrina of McKeesport, Lucy Lapinski of McKeesport, Doreena Elliot of McKeesport, and Ann Bootman of Cherry Tree; his nieces and nephews; and his long time companion Patricia Talavinia.  Besides his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his brother Dominick DiMeo.  Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles, on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 from 4 PM until a 7 PM Memorial Service with Deacon Dale DiSanto officiating.
