Jonathon Peterson

Jonathon Peterson, age 25, of Elizabeth, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at home. A machine operator for AK Steel in Bridgeville, he loved hunting and fishing and was a member of Club 46 in Clairton. Born September 23, 1992 in Pittsburgh, he was a son of Carl (Kristin) Peterson of New Derry and Melissa (Keith) Smith of Elizabeth. In addition to his parents, he is survived by sisters, Mary (Brian Kennedy) Smith of Pittsburgh, Katy Smith of Fairbanks, AK, Amber (Andrew) Hunstad of Louisville, KY, Mackenzie Peterson of New Derry, and Mia Smith of Elizabeth; brothers, Andrew Peterson and Joshua Smith, both of Elizabeth; maternal grandmother, Mary Ann Viscusi of Jefferson Hills; paternal grandparents, Ronald (Ruth) Peterson of Clairton and Donna (Richard) Huch of Big Bear Lake, CA; also, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandfather, Dennis J. Viscusi. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 1-3 and 5 until the time of service at 7 PM in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jude Urso officiating.
