John E. Lloyd Jr.

John E. Lloyd Jr., age 85, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Grandview Estates of Elizabeth. He retired after 30 years as an operating engineer for Dick Corporation in Pittsburgh. An Army veteran having served during the Korean War, he was a member of St. Michael Parish in Elizabeth. He was a member of Local 66 Operating Engineers and a member and Past Master of Stephen Bayard Masonic Lodge 526 of Elizabeth. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers and nephews. A devoted family man, his family meant the world to him. Born December 11, 1932 in Jefferson Hills, he was a son of the late John E. Lloyd Sr. and the late Anna E. (Lang) Lloyd. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jean F. (Frola) Lloyd; daughter, Deborah Lloyd of Elizabeth Twp.; grandchildren, Shelley (Brad) Lauer of Cranberry Twp. and Alyssa (Tom) Rarick of Liberty Borough; great-grandchildren, Quinn and Evelyn Lauer and Vienna and Noelle Rarick; brothers, Charles Lloyd of West Elizabeth and Dean (Faye) Lloyd of Elizabeth; also, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Sunday, August 12, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Blessing will take place on Monday, August 13, 2018 at 12 Noon in the funeral home with the Rev. Thomas A. Wagner officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
