John Joseph Giles Jr.

John Joseph Giles Jr., age 70, of Liberty Borough, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon, WV. Owner of John Giles Trucking Inc. in Liberty Borough for more than 40 years, he was a self-employed truck driver. A Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War, he was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association, the NRA, Goldwing Road Riders Association, and AARP. He enjoyed flying his powered parachute. Born December 16, 1947 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late John Joseph Giles Sr. and the late Mary "Cindy" Giles Nadzam. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Donna Giles; daughters, Kimberly (Scott) Linke of Liberty Borough and Kellie (Scott) Schork of White Oak; grandchildren, Nathan, Hannah, Noah and Nicolaus Schork, John-Paul Giles, and Scott Linke Jr.; brother, Andrew Giles of Clairton; and sister, Sandra Huffman of Port Vue; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Henry Giles. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bruce Poling officiating.
