Jean (Billick) Brown

Jean (Billick) Brown, age 99, of Elizabeth, died on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at home. A graduate of Westminster College and a member of Bethesda United Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth, she was a retired teacher in the Elizabeth Forward School District. Born November 2, 1918 in Elizabeth Township, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (McLay) Billick, wife of the late R. Aitken Brown, and sister of the late Marian Bickerton. She is survived by her nephews, Michael Bickerton and his wife Cathy, Robert Bickerton, and Jack Bickerton, and her nieces, Bonnie Hibner and Candy Topp as well as her great-nephews and great-nieces and their children. Burial will be private. Jean was a beloved aunt, neighbor and friend as well as a warm and compassionate teacher during her long life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements by the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth.
