Hazel M. (Malacki) Fasekas

Hazel M. Fasekas, age 90 of Clairton, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019 in her home.  Born September 5, 1928 in Clairton, she was a daughter of the late Judgi and Catherine Malacki and wife of the late Joseph E. Fasekas who passed away December 31, 2012.  A member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, Hazel is survived by her children Cindy (Rick) Salmon of Flemington, NJ, Gloria (Gerry) Bartos of Yorktown, VA, and Joseph Fasekas of Morgantown, WV; her close friend Robert Matz of Morgantown, WV; her five grandchildren Jill Fisher, Megan Salmon, Jeremy and Jason Bartos, and Jodie Tirch; her six great-grandchildren Cora, Taylor, Tyler, Abigail, Avery, and Andrew; her siblings Gina Sydeski of Tampa, FL and Frank Malacki of San Diego, CA; and also nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings Helen Kristen, St. Marilyn Malacki of the Sisters of the Poor, Josie Petrulak, and Louis Malacki.  Friends will be received in the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton, on Monday, July 1, 2019 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 10 AM in St. Clare of Assisi Church in Clairton with burial to follow in St. Clare Cemetery.
