George D. Kvasnak

George D. Kvasnak, age 90, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Norbert Personal Care Home in Pittsburgh. An Army veteran having served during the Korean War, he retired as the founder and owner of Garage Door Service Inc. in Elizabeth. Born March 8, 1929 in Clairton, he was a son of the late George J. and Mary (Matusovic) Kvasnak and husband of the late Gerda (Schwarz) Kvasnak. He is survived by daughter, Lynn Metheney of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandson, Jonathan M. Kvasnak of Elizabeth Twp.; and sister, Laverne Thompson of Florence, SC. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by son, Martin J. Kvasnak. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 from 6-8 PM. No services are planned.
