Eleanore (Pater) Jenkins

Eleanore Pater Jenkins, age 97 and formerly of McKeesport and Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018 in Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Ctr. in Carlisle.  Born November 3, 1920 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Anna (Campbell) Pater.  A retired secretary for Martin Marietta Chemicals in Pittsburgh who also worked at US Steel's W. Dewees Works in McKeesport, Eleanore was a member of St. Michael's Parish in Elizabeth Twp.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Ross Jenkins, Sr., who passed away April 29, 2007, her brothers Stanley, Robert, Ralph, and Jerome Pater, and her sister Dolores Connelly.  Eleanore is survived by her children Thomas Ross (Karen) Jenkins, Jr. of Mechanicsburg, PA and Pamela (Lee) Evett of Lake Alfred, FL; her grandchildren Erin Marie Turtle, Keri Marie Spencer, Jennifer Robinson, and Lee Evett, Jr.; her great-grandchildren Lyla Marie and Sophie Marie Turtle, Sophie, Samantha, and Charlotte Robinson, and Lucy Marie and Shea Jackson Spencer; and also nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 10 AM in St. Michael's Church with Fr. Thomas Wagner officiating.  Procession and burial will follow to Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
