Dorothy Jane (Vugrincic) Vlasic, age 89, of Elizabeth Township passed away on Monday, September 4, 2018 at Mt. Vernon of Elizabeth. Born April 23, 1929 in Braddock, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ivka (Jambrusic) Vugrincic. Dorothy worked as a beautician and bookkeeper, and was a member of the C.F.U. Lodge 146 of Versailles for over 60 years. She is survived by her husband Frank Vlasic; daughter Dorothy "Dot" (Tim Appleby) Vlasic of Cary, NC; son John J. Vlasic of Cumming, GA; grandchildren Alexandra Rose and Timothy Matthew Appleby; brother Joseph (Katherine) Vugrincic of Plum Boro; and also two nieces and a nephew. The family would like to thank the entire staff of Mt. Vernon of Elizabeth Assisted Living where Dorothy lived since leaving her home of 50 years in White Oak. A special thank you to nurses Sue, Rhonda, Leitha, and all the aides who cared for Dorothy since moving to Mt. Vernon. The family is especially grateful for the outstanding and loving care provided by 365 Hospice. They are eternally grateful for the compassionate care provided by nurses Becky #1, Becky #2, and nurses aide Melissa in Dorothy's last moments. There is no visitation for Dorothy. A Service for Dorothy will take place on Wednesday, September 5 at 1:00 pm in St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel, North Versailles. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
