Donald J. Weiler

Donald J. Weiler, age 87 of Versailles, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2019 in The Palms at O'Neill, McKeesport.  Born June 20, 1932 in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Albert and Freda (Schitzen) Weiler.  A retired payroll auditor for General Motors' Fisher Body Plant in West Mifflin, Donald was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War, serving on the USS Wisconsin.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Maxine C. (Cusick) Weiler, who passed away November 13, 2017, and his brother William Weiler.  Donald is survived by his sons Daniel (Mary) Weiler of New Hartford, NY and Eric (Angela) Weiler of McKeesport; his grandchildren Katy, Samantha (Chris,) and Ryan; his great-grandchildren Daniel, Michael, Kaia, Damien, and Letty; and also nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles, on Friday, November 8, 2019 from 10 AM until a 12 Noon funeral service in the funeral home with Rev. William Heaton officiating.  Interment will be held privately at a later date in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
