Dolores F. (Caster) Spinneweber

Dolores F. "Boots" (Caster) Spinneweber, age 87, of Forward Twp., passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Monongahela Valley Hospital. She retired as a cafeteria worker at Jefferson Hospital. A member of Elizabeth Baptist Church, she was a former aide at William Penn Elementary School and enjoyed square dancing. Born March 14, 1930 in Elizabeth, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Lillian (Collins) Caster and wife of the late Joseph E. Spinneweber. She is survived by son, Mick (Connie Morris) Opfar of Carroll Twp.; grandchildren, Rick (Danielle) Opfar, and Kelsey and Jonathan Havel; great-grandchildren, Mason, Brianna and Jackson; sisters, Dorothy Paquet of Elizabeth, Florence Shoemaker of Huntingdon, and Janet Ufko of Elizabeth; brother, Fred Caster Jr. of Elizabeth; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Opfar; daughter, Kathy Jo Havel; and son, Ricky Opfar. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Sunday, July 16, 2017 from 4 PM until the time of service at 8 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor David L. Myers officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Elizabeth Baptist Church, 735 Bunola River Road, Elizabeth, PA 15037.
