Dennis John Maksin

Dennis John Maksin, 67, husband of Frances Rengers Maksin, died Sunday, July 8, 2018 on the second hole at The Country Club of South Carolina in Florence doing what he loved to do best. Formerly of Clairton, Pennsylvania, he resided in Manning, South Carolina. He was an active member, coordinator and Tournament Director of Wyboo Plantation Men’s Golf League.  Born February 20, 1951 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, he was the son of John Andrew Maksin (Jay) and Margaret Brendza Maksin (Marge). He is survived by his wife of Manning, South Carolina; a daughter, Melanie Maksin (Jonah Volk) of Stamford, Connecticut; two stepdaughters, Maria Miglioretti (Frederick Luchtman) of Arlington, Virginia and Dr. Diana Miglioretti (Jason Graff) of Truckee, California; his special granddaughter Julianna Luchtman; sister, Sandy Schmerin (Steve) of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania; niece, Maggie Schmerin of Chicago, Illinois; nephew, Ben Schmerin (Andi) of Wayne, Pennsylvania; and great-nephew, William Schmerin.  Dennis spent his career with the Social Security Administration working in Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Baltimore. He finished his career as a program expert at Social Security Headquarters in Woodlawn, Maryland.  Arrangements were handled in South Carolina by the family.  Courtesy obituary by the A.J.
