Daniel J. Sowa

Daniel J. Sowa, age 50 of Jefferson Hills, passed away at home on Monday, December 16, 2019.  Born January 30, 1969 in Braddock, he was a son of the late Walter A. and Jacqueline (McCorkle) Sowa.  A 1987 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics, Daniel worked for many years as an aircraft mechanic.  He is survived by his brother David (Ann Marie) Sowa of Liberty Borough; his sister Stephanie Osselborn of West Mifflin; his stepchildren Carol Opfer of Elizabeth Twp. and Joyce (Jake) Bartlet of Kaukauna, WI; his grandchildren Daniel, Mikel, and Sarah; his nieces and nephews Emma Grace McGurk-Sowa, Keation and Cassandra McClelland, and C.J. Raymond; and his companion Karen Sowa.  Friends will be received in the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton, on Friday, December 20, 2019 from 2 PM to 4 PM and from 6 PM until a 7:30 PM prayer service.  Interment will be private.
