Charles F.A. Stockdill, age 48, of Bethel Park, and formerly of Elizabeth, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at home. He retired from Torrance State Hospital in Torrance. He was an avid collector of comics and memorabilia, and he loved music, camping, and building model cars and planes. He studied at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, was a former disc jockey, and was a history buff who wanted to learn everything he could about World War II. Born January 6, 1969 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Robert E. and Dorothy G. (McKenna) Stockdill. He is survived by his daughters, Amanda (Matthew) Stoyer of Monongahela and Stacey Stockdill of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Grayson and Ryalyn Stoyer; sisters, Esther (Doug) Coy of Cynthiana, KY, Dorothy (Steve) Whitmer of Elizabeth, Rebecca DeAngelis of Clairton, and Rachel (Richard) Emery of Dawson; brothers, Robert (Willorene) Stockdill of Meridian, MS, Timothy (Karen) Stockdill of Elizabeth, and Craig (Christine) Kriedler of Waipahu, HI; godson, Anthony Migliori of Greenock; also, nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Laurie Edwards. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 12-2 and 4-6 PM followed by a funeral service at 6 PM in the chapel with the Rev. William Hough officiating.
