Bernice C. (Stewart) Brumfield

Bernice S. (Stewart) Brumfield, age 91, of Elizabeth, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Overlook Green Senior Living. She was a member of Mount Olive First Baptist Church in Clairton and she enjoyed cooking, baking and doing yard work. Born June 4, 1928 in Osyka, MS, she was a daughter of the late Ervin and Golda (McGehee) Stewart and wife of the late James H. Brumfield. She is survived by daughters, Camilette (Arthur) Rhone of Blaine Hill and Vera Brumfield of Sunbury; sons, James I. (Peggy) Brumfield of Elkton, MD, Larry Brumfield of Uniontown, Marshell (Valerie) Brumfield of Sacramento, CA, and Dennis (Kathy) Brumfield of Chester Springs; 27 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara (Lee) Evron of San Antonio, TX, and Robbie Stewart of Pocono, NY; also, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughter, Carolyn Oatis. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Monday, August 26, 2019 from 10 AM until the time of service at 12 Noon in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Dr. William C. Callaway officiating. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills.
