Anthony L. Gambino, age 84 of Clairton, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018 in Jefferson Hospital. Born August 24, 1933 in Clairton, he was a son of the late Charles and Frances (Fazio) Gambino. A US Army Veteran of the Korean War, Anthony retired from the Tool and Dye Department of GM's Fisher Body Plant in West Mifflin and was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Clairton. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Laura (LaBarbera) Gambino; his children Christine Gambino of Clairton, Charles (Bonnie) Gambino of Cecil Twp., and Eric Gambino of Clairton; his grandchildren Toni M. and Matthew M., Snyder and Jacob C., Erica M., and Anthony J. Gambino; his great-grandchildren Morgan M., Brayden, and Kayden Snyder and Taylor M. Yacavace; and also nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Anthony was preceded in death by his siblings Cynthia Van Ryn and Jack, Charles "Blue Eyes," and Richard Gambino. There is no visitation for Anthony. Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM on Saturday, June 9, 2018 in St. Clare of Assisi Parish, 460 Reed St., Clairton, PA 15025. Please arrive at the church between 9:30 AM and the time of Mass. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to the Alzheimers Association, 1100 Liberty Ave., Ste. E201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222 or a charity of the donor's choice.
