Daniel F. Bekavac, Sr.
Licensed Funeral Director
Following in his father and brother's footsteps, Dan became a licensed funeral director in 1976. A 1974 graduate of the University of Notre Dame and a 1975 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, and a 1980 graduate of Duquesne University School of Law, Dan handles day to day operations in the Versailles location. Dan, who is also an attorney, lives in Clairton with his wife Patti.
Anthony J. Bekavac
Licensed Funeral Director
Continuing in his father's and grandfather's footsteps, Tony is a 1996 graduate of the College of Wooster and a 1997 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. A third generation funeral director, Tony is the sole proprietor of the Elizabeth location where he is responsible for day to day operations. Tony and his wife Rachel reside in Pleasant Hills with their two sons.

Following in the family tradition, Daniel, after completing his internship, is now a licensed funeral director here at Bekavac. A 2004 graduate of Princeton University, a 2005 graduate of The Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, and a 2008 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Dan, who is also an attorney like his father, assists in the operations of all three locations. He currently resides in South Park.
Thomas J. Connelly
Licensed Funeral Director
A second generation funeral director himself, Tom decided to follow in his father's footsteps and graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1987. For the past 36 years, Tom has helped to serve our families as a licensed funeral director and pre-need insurance agent. Tom resides in Elizabeth Township with his wife Tina.
Joseph S. Kuzman
Licensed Funeral Director
After his grandfather's death in 1976, Joe decided to pursue a career as a licensed funeral director. A 1983 graduate of Slippery Rock University, Joe went on to graduate from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1984. Joe has worked at the funeral home for the past 38 years and is the licensed supervisor in the Clairton location. Joe and his wife Shannon reside in Whitehall.
Maria L. Koontz
Licensed Funeral Director
A 2017 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and recipient of a Bachelor of Science from Point Park University, Maria is starting a hopefully long and fruitful career in funeral services with us at Bekavac's. Originally from Elizabethville, PA, she resides currently in Versailles.
Domenic M. Ferrari
Licensed Funeral Director
A first-generation funeral director with ten years of experience in funeral service, Dom decided early that this industry was his calling and attended CCAC South and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. His family has roots in both Clairton and Elizabeth and he currently resides in Donora. Dom will assist with the continual growth of our Elizabeth location. He looks forward to working with families on both at-need and pre-need services.
