Whether going to a home or hospital to bring a loved one back to our funeral home, parking cars or driving the hearse on the day of the funeral, our drivers are often the first people from Bekavac Funeral Homes whom a family meets. Any time at night, even at a morgue of a hospital where no one but a security guard will see them, our drivers are in a dark suit, clean cut, and in a clean vehicle. Funerals are one of the last vestiges of dignity in our society; and that dignity starts, sometimes, at 2:00 AM when no one is looking.
George Adamson - A retired teacher for the Norwin School District and a former assistant coroner with the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office, George has helped the funeral home as a driver for many years. He lives in the Wilson section of Clairton with his wife Lois.
Ralph Bernardo - Like many of our drivers, Ralph is a lifetime Clairtonian and a longtime friend of the funeral home. He works for the Internal Revenue Service in Pittsburgh and lives in Jefferson Hills with his wife Linda and daughter.
Roy "Skeeter" Grant - Roy's family has been involved with the funeral home for decades. His father, Roy Sr., worked on the Clairton Funeral Home for Columbia Gas and his mother, Harriet, was our secretary for many years. He lives in Jefferson Hills.
Kevin "K.C." Jones - Kevin, a former EMT with the Clairton Fire Department and active member of Club 46 in Clairton, began working as a driver for Bekavac's only a few years ago. He lives in Wilson with his wife Leah and his daughter.
Nick Puskar - Nick began helping at the Steven Pavlic Funeral Home in Versailles when he was a young man. When Steve sold the funeral home to Daniel Bekavac, Nick continued helping there as a driver, but more importantly, as a strong friend. A retired Pennsylvania State Trooper and current guard at the U.S. Federal Court in Pittsburgh, Nick resides in White Oak with his wife Donna.
Joe Ranalli - A classmate at Clairton High School with Paul Bekavac, Joe has always been a good friend of ours. After his retirement as a detective for the Washington DC Police Department, Joe has helped at the funeral home for more than two decades. He currently lives in Versailles and is an assistant coach for the Penn State University - Greater Allegheny Baseball team.
Mike Sekeres - A native of Clairton, Mike has been a friend of the funeral home and the Bekavac family for longer than he has been a driver. He lives in Jefferson Hills with his wife Joanie.
Jack Smith - Jack, a former Clairton Police Officer and employee of the Fisher Body Plant in West Mifflin, began working at the funeral homes upon his retirement. He lives in Elizabeth Township with his wife Gail.
Bob Sporio - With Paul Bekavac's retirement, Bob continually reminds us that he is the longest tenured employee of Bekavac Funeral Homes. A native of Clairton and friend of all of ours for many years, Bob, a teacher and football coach for South Park High School, lives in Jefferson Hills with his wife Beverly.
James Urso - A recently retired boilermaker from the Boilermaker's Union Local #3, Jim is a lifelong Clairtonian who, upon retirement, began helping us as a driver. He lives in Jefferson Hills with his wife Jill.
