William J. Kaskin

William J. Kaskin, age 78 of Clairton and formerly of Braddock, passed away at Jefferson Hospital on Monday, February 27, 2017.  Born March 14, 1938 in Braddock, he was a son of the late Joseph and Melrose (Robinson) Kaskin.  A member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Clairton, William was a Veteran of both the US Army and US Navy.   He retired as a welder for US Steel and also worked for 20 years at St. Gabriel's of the Sorrowful Virgin Parish and School in Whitehall.  William is survived by his wife Joanne (Geletko) Kaskin; his daughters Kimberly Ann Kaskin of Glassport, Jennifer Lynn (Richard) Scott of Stroudsburg and Kristin Marie Kaskin-Poole of Long Island City, NY; his grandchildren Misty Laverick, Olivia and Shane Goodrum, Tara and Jeremy Felker, Benjamin Kaskin, and Darren Kaskin-Poole; and his great-grandchildren Brooklyn Forrester and Cassius Gardener.  Friends will be received in the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton, on Friday, March 3, 2017 from 1 PM until a 3:30 PM Blessing in the funeral home.  Interment will be private at the request of the family.
