Warren E. Snider

Warren E. Snider, age 78 of Ellwood City and formerly of Elizabeth Twp., passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Golden Hill Nursing Home, following an on and off again battle with cancer.  Born April 16, 1939 in Dravosburg, he was the son of the late Floyd and Ethel (Wall) Snider.  He was married to Linda L. (Dougherty) Snider, who passed away March 18, 2014.  Warren retired from Westinghouse after 40 years as a research and development technician. He belonged to both the First United Methodist Church in Ellwood City and the Central Highlands Community Methodist Church where he sang in the choir and played dart ball in Elizabeth. He was a member of the Pittsburgh Amateur Astronomers Club. He enjoyed photography and loved to eat out.  Survivors include his loving companion Patricia Seaburn; two sons, Donald (Jeanine) Snider of Scottdale, Daniel (Julie) Snider of Jamestown, SC; daughter, Denise (Gerald) Eisaman of Elizabeth Twp.; four grandchildren, Ethan, Evan, Alex Snider and Jacob Eisaman; his sister, Audrey Dougherty of Charlotte, NC; nephew and niece, Wayne (Nancy) Johnston of Monongahela and Sharon (Mark) Vargo of North Huntington; great nephews, Christopher and Ashley Johnston, Chris (Tiffany) Vargo, and Sean (Erin) Vargo.  Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City, PA 16117 and on Friday, January 26, 2018 in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles, from 6 PM until an 8 PM Funeral Service with Rev. Angelic Bradford.  Interment will be private at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Elizabeth Twp.  Memorial Contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 416 Crescent Ave., Ellwood City, PA 16117.
