Thurman D. "Butch" Keifer, age 72, of Port Vue, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Jefferson Hospital. He retired after 24 years as a bus driver for Port Authority of Allegheny County in West Mifflin. He was a former member of Glassport Assembly of God Church, a former Eastern District Commander with Royal Rangers of Pennsylvania, a former board member of Glendale Yearound and their Water Authority, a former member of Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Coalport and a member of its Prime Timers. Born November 21, 1945 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Thurman and Dorothy (Lauffer) Keifer Campbell. He is survived by his wife, Carol Keifer of Munhall; daughter, Brenda (Keith Boyce) Keifer of Port Vue; son, Jeff (Karen) Keifer of Port Vue; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Keifer of Elizabethtown, Stephen Keifer of Port Vue, Joshua (Michele) Keifer of Greenock, and Matthew (Natalie Bane) Keifer of Port Vue; great-grandchildren, Jordan and Josiah Kiefer; brother, Robert (Jan) Keifer of Finleyville; also, nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will take place on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Patrick Pugh and Chaplain Stephen Hospodar officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
