Thomas R. Stephenson, Sr.

Thomas R. Stephenson, Sr., age 71 of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2017 in Jefferson Hospital.  Born July 26, 1946 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Thomas H. Stephenson, Jr. and Elizabeth J. (Blaha) Stephenson.  A US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, Tom retired as an assistant vice president for Irwin Bank.  He was the financial secretary for P.N.A. Lodge #352 of McKeesport and was active with both Mt. Vernon Youth Baseball and the McKeesport Baseball Association.  Tom is survived by his wife Sandra L. (Morgan) Stephenson; his children Thomas R. (Regina) Stephenson, Jr., Ashlee M. (Robert) Boyle, and Craig M. Stephenson; his four grandchildren Ryley T. Stephenson, Ryan M. Boyle, Addison P. Stephenson, and Brady P. Boyle; and his sister Mary Louise Hebert.  Besides his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his daughter Joanna Stephenson.  Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles, on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 from 2 PM to 8 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Corpus Christi Parish on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 10 AM with Fr. Stephen Palsa officiating.  Procession with military honors will follow to Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
