Ruth Pastore of White Oak, formerly of Clairton, passed from this life into the loving arms of her Lord on February 15, 2018, after a decade of courageously battling cancer. She was born in Philadelphia the daughter of the late Daniel and Rose (Gentile) Pastore. Ruth's love of community defined her. She was a selfless public servant, leader, mentor and advocate for the greater good. She dedicated her life to the Clairton Crime Watch and serving the Democratic 45th Senatorial District as a Democratic State Community Member. She loved being a mom and being with her family. She enjoyed going to political events, Tony Bennett concerts and dancing. She had a taste for Italian food, banana splits and, especially Mallow Cups. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Anthony Picciafoco, Jr. and brothers: Daniel and Dominic Pastore. Ruth is survived by her six daughters: Dana Piper, Marion Beech (Glenn), Angle Michanowicz (Andy), Antoinette Tour, Laura Picciafoco Brown (Kevin), Lisa Piccini (Garry), siblings; Carl, Tony and Richard Pastore and Madeline Nistico (Joseph), 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Family and friends will be received at the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, 4504 Walnut Street, Versailles Boro, McKeesport, PA on Sunday, February 18, 2018, from 2 - 8pm. Funeral Services at Faith Lutheran Church in White Oak Monday, February 19, 2018 at 11am. Burial in Mount Vernon Cemetery.
