Robert R. Hill

Robert R. Hill, age 84, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 at home. He was a retired warehouse clerk with Plotkin Bros. Supply, Inc. in Glassport, a member of the Round Hill Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth Twp., a lifetime member and past president of the Blaine Hill Volunteer Fire Company and a former firefighter with the Forward Twp. Volunteer Fire Company. He was a former boy scout leader, past president and member of the Blaine Hill AARP, and he enjoyed his dogs Misty and Shadow. Born September 1, 1933 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Thomas B. and Louise (Kunz) Hill. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary L. (Atkinson) Hill; daughters, Michelle (Richard) Gensler of McKeesport and Tara (Steve) Minor of Glassport; sons, Richard Hill of Columbus, OH and Kevin Hill of Forward Twp.; grandchildren, Kevin, Jessica, Sadie and Karlee Hill; sisters, Dorothy Jean Bashaw of Tampa, FL and Karen (Harry) Faulk of West Virginia; brothers, Kenny Hill of Elizabeth and Gary (Janie) Hill of West Newton; also survived by nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 10 AM in the Round Hill Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. D. Matthew Stith officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Burial to follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
