Robert P. Conway

Robert P. Conway, age 75 of McKeesport, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 in UPMC McKeesport Hospital.  Born June 17, 1941 in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Peter and Mildred (O'Gurkis) Conway.  A member of Corpus Christi Parish in McKeesport and the CFU Lodge #146 in Versailles, Robert worked at US Steel Christy Parks Works and also in maintenance at the Pittsburgh Press, later Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.  He was a train enthusiast, both of the model and actual variety, loved animals and music, was handy with a guitar and around the house.  He is survived by his wife Louise (Cocozello) Conway; his son James Conway of Indian Head; his daughter Monica (Richard) Conway Koontz of Elizabethville; and his grandchildren Richard, Maria, and Victoria.  Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles, on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 10 AM in Corpus Christi Church with Fr. Steven M. Palsa officiating.  Procession and entombment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, North Versailles.
