Ricky F. Bartko

Ricky F. Bartko, age 58 of Clairton, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2016 in UPMC McKeesport Hospital.  Born December 25, 1957 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Harry D. and Helen J. (Burkett) Bartko.  Rick owned and operated Rick Bartko Heating and Cooling for years in the Mon Valley and was a member of Sons of Columbus, Santa Maria Council #4, American Legion Daniel Keffer Post #75 and the W.A.C.C. in Clairton.   Ricky is survived by his children Jessica Bartko of Jefferson Hills, Malarie (Ryan Assenti) Bartko of Elizabeth and Richard "R.J." Bartko of Monongahela; grandchildren Isaiah and Ian Hansen, Serenity, Alyssa and Colton Assenti and Devlin Bartko; girlfriend and companion Betsy O'Hara; siblings Denise L.(Donald) Lopretta of Clairton, Laurie (Scott) Parsons of Jefferson Hills, Susie Bartko of Clairton, and Harry B. Bartko of Clairton; and also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.  Along with his parents, Rick was predeceased by his brother Duane L. Bartko.  Friends will be received on Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 1-4pm and 6-8:30pm in the A. J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton. A funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel at 8:30pm with Rev. Jude Urso Officiating on Thursday evening following the visitations.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Bartko family in care of the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home.
