Richard E. McKenzie, Jr.

Richard E. McKenzie, Jr., age 53 of Liberty Borough, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017 in UPMC McKeesport Hospital.  Born September 8, 1964 in Pittsburgh, he was a son of Richard E. McKenzie, Sr. of Reserve Twp. and the late Elizabeth (Lukitsch) McKenzie.  Besides his father, he is survived by his wife Ronda (Rudberg) McKenzie; his stepdaughters Caitlin, Maeghan, and Tifani Gioia; his sister Karen Smith of West Virginia, and also an aunt and cousins in Colorado.  Richard earned his bachelor's degree from Pitt and his M.B.A. from Duquesne University, going on to be a former instructor at Duff's Business Institute and a computer technician with Wolf Consulting.  He was a member of St. Bernadette Parish in Monroeville, where he served as a lector, and, in his spare time, was a coach for the Special Olympics, a South Allegheny Band Parent, and an avid Pittsburgh sports fan.   Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles, on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 until a 7:30 PM Blessing.  Interment will be private.  Memorial contributions in Richard's name should be made to the Special Olympics Allegheny, 404 1st. St., Carnegie, PA 15106.
