My deepest sympathy to the Kurta family. Rick was an awesome coworker and a great Christian role model. I enjoyed his sense of humor and our discussions about politics and the "Survivor" show. May God bless you, Rick, and welcome you into his heavenly kingdom.

I am more than sorry to hear about your husband Billie. And Nichole and Brandon, God bless you and your families. I wish I could somehow bring you all peace but no one can. Just remember how much he loved you all and he will live in your hearts all the days of your life. He was always too full of life to be any other way. I will definately be praying for all of you. Billie my heart goes out to you as well. You two were together every time I saw you. Inseparable. Can't imagine how hard it is. In so sorry. May God carry you though

Rick was one of the kindest men that I ever had the pleasure of knowing. He was my ScoutMaster and more importantly someone that I looked up to when I was a young man. My deepest condolences to Brandon and Nicole. Your Dad meant a lot to all the people that he touched in his life. I know he is in Heaven right now looking down on both of you.

My deepest sympathies to Brandon and the rest of the Kurta family. I do remember Mr Kurta at Pizza Hut , he was always so cheerful and full of character. I remember being there with my mother once and us getting the biggest kick out of him whistling around the Hut! He's given me a lasting memory.

with love,
Melissa

I remember him running around the Terrace as a little kid wanting to play with the older kids. Great guy. What a shame.

I babysat for his Mom Mary, while Richard & Siblings were very small. It seems like yesterday; and, now he is gone. Blessings to all the Families involved. ~~~ Renee

The world lost a truly great man today, and everyone who knew him was touched by his sense of humor, and his kindness and compassion for all. Rick was always such a positive person, and his personality was contagious. We are all truly better for having known him, and he will be sadly missed. Heaven is a much funnier place today! May God bring comfort to the Kurta family, and may his laughter live in your hearts forever.
