Richard H. Evans Sr.

Richard H. Evans Sr., age 73, of Elizabeth Township, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at West Penn Hospital. He was a retired heaterman in the Coke Department at U.S. Steel Clairton Works. He was a Navy veteran serving during Vietnam. He was a member of the Clairton Steel Works Patchers Golf League and the Independent Men's League at White Oak Bowl. Born September 3, 1943 in Elizabeth, he was a son of the late William G. and Dora V. (Boyd) Evans and wife of the late Theresa M. Evans. He is survived by son, Richard H. Evans Jr. of Elizabeth; daughters, Candice L. Jacques and Barbara A. Lyle, both of South Park; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, William G. Evans Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; sisters, Darlene D. Osime and Volose G. Savage, both of Holder, FL; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by sons, Gary Lee Evans and Robert Miller. No visitation or services are scheduled. Arrangements by the Paul E.
