Richard Dellarosa

Richard Dellarosa, age 91 of Clairton, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017.  Born May 27, 1926 in LaBelle, he was a son of the late Silvio and Ann (Bilpuch) Dellarosa.  A member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Clairton, Richard worked for many years at Pennsylvania Industrial Chemical Corp. (PICCO) in West Elizabeth before his retirement in 1988.  He was an avid "do-it-yourselfer," whose talents were evident in his many projects.  He will be greatly missed by his family.  Richard is survived by his wife of 65 years Josephine M. (Shinal) Dellarosa; his children Janice (Steve) Valdez of Tampa, FL, Karen (Bob) Christoff of New Castle, and David (Karen) Dellarosa of Saxonburg; his grandchildren Stacey Daniel, Stephanie Burris, Chuck and Matthew Valdez, Jessica Christoff, and Lauren and Nicholas Dellarosa; and also his 10 great-grandchildren.  Besides his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his granddaughter Candace Christoff and his sister Delores Hardoby.  There is no visitation for Richard.  A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 10 AM in St. Clare of Assisi Parish, Clairton.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Pittsburgh Center, 600 Waterfront Dr., Ste. #210, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.  Arrangements by the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton.
