On January 27, 2018 our family bid farewell to its matriarch, Marion A. (Linn) Molinaro, age 88 of Elizabeth Twp. Born in McKeesport on September 28, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Adelaide (Flaherty) Linn. Marion graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and retired from UPMC McKeesport where she worked as a Registered Nurse for 40 years. She and her late husband of 60 years, Anthony J. “Sonny” Molinaro, were owners of Glassport Lanes Bowling Alley and together they operated it for 43 years. In addition, Marion was a past member of the Christian Mothers Society at the former St. Dennis Parish and was a Head Start Registered Nurse for Elizabeth Forward School District. Marion is survived by her children, Linn (Robert) Hodges of Marietta, GA, Denise (Lee) Smith of Mt. Vernon, Jill Molinaro of Trafford, Judy (Tom) Murtha of Mt. Vernon, Anthony “A.J.” Molinaro of Jefferson Hills, Tina (Jeff) Williams of Monroeville, and Dayna Molinaro of Robinson; her grandchildren, Andrew, Brian and Carrie Hodges, Amy and Erik Smith, Tom (Sadie) Murtha, Kristi (Mike) Baron, Jenna and Haley Williams and Jada Molinaro; sister, Donna Kutzfara of Elizabeth Twp. and brother Joseph (Terri) Linn of Paw Paw, WV; and also many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Marion was preceded in death by siblings, Eileen Metz, F. William Linn and John Linn. Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home & Crematory, Versailles, on Monday, January 29, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM and Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Divine Redeemer Motherhouse at 10 AM on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. Entombment will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
