Louise Ann (Cindric) Kartesz

Louise Ann (Cindric) Kartesz, age 95, of Addison, and formerly of Elizabeth Twp. passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017 at home. She was a former member of the former Sacred Heart Church in McKeesport. Born May 14, 1922 in Buena Vista, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Agnes (Salopek) Cindric and wife of the late Andrew Charles Kartesz. She is survived by children, Louise (the late John) Patterson of Elizabeth Twp., Mary (Alan) Wardroper of Australia, Andrew Charles (Helen) Kartesz of Ludlow, Dr. John Thomas Kartesz of Chapel Hill, NC, and Carolyn (John) Cornish of Addison; daughter-in-law, Carolie Kartesz of Jamestown, NY; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Fannie Puskaric of Buena Vista; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by children, Frank Andrew Kartesz, Catherine Kartesz, and Rosemarie Tipton. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 2-4 and  6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at St. Michael Parish in Elizabeth Twp. with the Very Rev. Mark Eckman officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 15829, Arlington, VA 22215.
